Terrific Director of Development position with collaborative social justice organization that provides programs, services, and advocacy to improve the lives of women, children, and families. The Director of Development will partner with the Executive Director and Development Committee to implement and execute fundraising initiatives for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a fund development plan in collaboration with the Development Committee and Executive Director
- Provide moves management to new and existing individual donors, corporate partners, and institutional grantors
- Identify and cultivate new entry and mid-level donors
- Draft grant proposals and reports; assist volunteer grant writers while ensuring grant deadlines are met
- Support the Executive Director in prospecting and cultivating existing major gift donors
- Assist the Development Committee in execution of events
- Create monthly fundraising and donor reports
- Manage the donor CRM in collaboration with the Office Manager
Qualifications:
- Approximately 7 years of relevant fundraising experience
- Experience working in Jewish philanthropy a plus
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong database management skills; Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Experience working with volunteer boards a plus
