The Services Technician will provide technical support, incident and problem management to our client's end users on technology issues regarding computer hardware repair.
Responsibilities:
- Technical documentation
- Accurate diagnostics of computer hardware
- Repairing client computers
- Maintaining records of all service requests and resolutions to proactively improve service levels
Workplace: Onsite at our client in Jacksonville, FL. You will work Monday to Friday from 7 am - 3:30 pm Eastern time.
Must Have Skills:
- Associate’s degree in computer science or related discipline and one (1) year of professional experience in an IT service technician role OR Three (3) year combination of education, training and experience in installing, supporting, and hardware repair.
- 1 years' experience in:
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, and peripheral equipment
- Performing routine tasks such as system refreshes and data restores
- Managing device driver problems
- Step by step documentation of repair ticket resolution
- Testing hardware related issues to enhancing, upgrading or new installations
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of:
- Common operating systems and business applications
- Backup and restoration procedures
- Operating system commands and utilities
Professional Skills:
- Basic understanding of the competencies with demonstrated skills and abilities to successfully apply them under routine supervision
- Set priorities and establish a systematic course of action to ensure accomplishment of objectives on time and within budget
- Deal with ambiguity and make decisions with limited information
- Apply creativity and imagination when approaching assignments
- Quickly grasp new ideas and concepts
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with users by providing information and advice, addressing their needs, and achieving expected results.
- Work well within team and assist others with their assignments
