Duties
- Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet owner specifications and breed standards
- Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques to ensure safety and comfort during grooming procedures
- Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance to promote healthy skin and fur
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, special care instructions, and pet behavior observations
- Assist with animal handling tasks such as dog training, veterinary support, or animal restraint when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools are sanitized and equipment is in excellent condition
- Support pet sitting or pet care duties as needed to provide comprehensive animal services in a lively environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of pet coat styling techniques
- Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, and equines
- Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles is highly desirable for understanding animal health needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger animals or equipment safely
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
