The ideal candidate has strong backend development experience, C#/.Net preferred, and is comfortable working with modern cloud platforms. You will play a key role in building, integrating, and optimizing our flagship site search product, HawkSearch, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working independently and in a collaborative environment, and has a strong interest in search technologies.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain API-first backend services using C#Work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient solutions.Design new features to work with AWS services in a cost-effective, automated and scalable manner.Support ecommerce platform integrations.Collaborate with the infrastructure team on deployments, monitoring, and performance tuning.Contribute to technical design discussions and help drive architectural decisions.Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.Preferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with search technologiessuch as: Lucene, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Algolia, Coveo, SearchSpring, Klevu, Bloomreach.Familiarity with ecommerce systems such as: BigCommerce, Optimizely Configured Commerce, Shopify, Magento/Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce, Shopware, Unilog.Experience with LLM technology – model selection, prompt engineering, tuning, MCP.Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.Familiarity with JIRA & Confluence.Salesforce experience is a plus.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Collaborative, growth-oriented work environment.Opportunity to work with modern technologies and contribute to impactful projects.Required Qualifications3 years of professional software engineering experience.Strong proficiency in backend development, C#.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP and Azure also accepted).Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.Solid knowledge of relational databases and/or NoSQL databases.Ability to work on-site in Garden City, NY.#IND2#LI-CF1
