The Lead Teacher provides leadership for The Center's New York State OCFS School-Age Child Care (SACC) Program by creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where children thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically while ensuring compliance with OCFS regulations.
Essential Responsibilities· Plan and lead educational, recreational, STEM, arts, and enrichment activities.
· Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children.
· Provide homework assistance and academic support.
· Supervise Assistant Teachers.
· Maintain OCFS documentation and compliance.
· Build positive relationships with families.
· Support field trips and special events.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications· Meet NYS OCFS Group Teacher qualifications.
· Degree in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
· Experience working with school-age youth.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
· Background check and OCFS clearances required.
