As an Assistant Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the department by reviewing insurance applications to evaluate, classify, and rate individuals and groups for insurance in support of the organization’s strategic objectives.

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join our growing team in Clinton, MS!
As an Assistant Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the department by reviewing insurance applications to evaluate, classify, and rate individuals and groups for insurance in support of the organization’s strategic objectives.
How You Will Contribute
- Review and process all policy changes as requested by agents and insureds.
- Assist Underwriters with renewal processing and follow up requests to agents.
- Assist Underwriters with inspection review including follow-up with agents on hazards identified in the inspection.
- Communicate with agents and insureds to assist with basic policy questions.
- Liaison between various departments.
- Participate in various projects as they arise.
- Performs other duties as needed.
- As required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years as an assistant underwriter preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Passion for learning new technologies and enhancing existing skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively.
- Ability to adapt and respond in a rapidly evolving business environment.
