POSITION:HUMAN RESOURCES PROFESSIONAL
WAGE RANGE:$29-$31
REPORTS TO:EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
CLASSIFICATION:REMOTE (One day a week on site or as needed), FULL TIME (40 HOURS), HOURLY
SUMMARY OF WORK PERFORMED:Human Resource Administration, Compliance, Administration
PERSONNEL:
- Post jobs on job recruiting sites (Indeed).
- Vet job applicants for suitability for applied position.
- Maintain sufficient candidates for positions to keep program fully staffed.
- Provide recommendation to senior management regarding hiring and terminating staff.
- Complete criminal background check and TB authorizations.
- Complete driving history for new employees.
- Complete volunteer criminal background checks and TB authorizations.
- On-board new employees and off-board resigning and terminated employees.
- Maintain personnel files and upload into Extended Reach.
- Mediate and mentor staff disputes, harassment claims, and probation issues to prevent terminations.
- Monitor pre-service staff training and on-going yearly training requirements.
- Monitor L & I claims and unemployment inquiries.
- Assist in any Human Resource duties as requested by management staff.
COMPLIANCE:
· Maintain employee and policy and procedures manuals.
- Maintain compliance with all Federal and State Labor Laws.
- Maintain compliance with all requirements of the DCYF contract, DCYF license, WAC's and RCW's.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
- Payroll Administration: on-boarding, off-boarding, backup approvals
- Record all staff meetings though zoom and send recordings of staff meetings to all staff within 24 hours of the meeting.
- Employer 401k administrator
- Send required staff lists to DCYF, quarterly and at contract renewal.
- Keep all employee forms up to date. (Emergency contacts, Contact lists, Staff Birthdays, etc.)
- And other duties as assigned.
:
1. Experience: Two (2) years’ human resource experience.
2. Computer Skills: Must be proficient in the Microsoft software package and comfortable learning new platforms and systems.
3. Customer Service: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to act professionally with all levels of the organization. Ability to prepare complete, concise and clear reports.
4. Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
5. Initiative: Able to anticipate what needs to be done and follows through.
6. Adaptability: Able to show consistent flexibility in adjusting to system, procedural, cultural, managerial and philosophical changes.
7. Ability to handle multiple details, tasks and deadlines.
8. Valid Washington driver's license and acceptable driving record.
9. Record free of criminal convictions.

Desired Qualifications:
1. AA degree or SHRM certification in human resources.
2. Have a working knowledge of the RCW and WAC codes that apply to foster care.
3. Experience working with children who have experienced trauma and can facilitate an environment utilizing trauma responsive care principles.
4. Experience and background in working with Children in Foster Care.

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
