What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Administrator position at BRIDGE Property Management Company?
Summary
The Property Administrator provides support to properties with vacancy and recertification challenges in the Southern California region. This may include acting as interim Resident Manager, assisting with initial lease-ups, and processing files in support of audit preparation or reduction of vacancies. The Property Administrator will be expected to be in the field 90-95% of the time, traveling between Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino counties.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day management at properties with open Resident Manager position:
- Collect rent and serve late notices when necessary
- Ensure proper annual resident recertification procedure
- Maintain office filing system including vacancy files
- Assist new residents with move-in procedure
- Supervise maintenance and office staff
- Coordinate lease-up operations at newly developed properties:
- Train site staff on application process
- Update and maintain applicant database
- Organize and review files for accuracy
- Assist with vacancy and recertification files at other properties as assigned
- Train new staff on vacancy and recertification procedures
- Create and implement improved systems and procedures
- Meet regularly with supervisor to address any issues
Qualifications
- Experience with affordable housing compliance, property management and leasing
- Knowledge of California landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing
- Ability to supervise and motivate staff
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Demonstrated computer proficiency
- Proven ability to work with diverse individuals
- Valid CA driver’s license
Preferred
- Knowledge of property maintenance and physical plant requirements
- Certification in Residential Apartment Management
- Customer/public relations experience
- Bilingual
