Outside Sales Consultant

This is a full-time, base plus commission role with an UNCAPPED compensation structure!

The worldwide leader in insurance technology solutions is currently searching for an Outside Sales Consultant. This individual will be tasked with continuing to grow and cultivate client relationships within the state of Michigan focused on an already established, successful portfolio of existing customers.

This role is responsible for client retention, renewals, adoption, and product expansion. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your book of business, building account plans, aligning to customer goals and success metrics, while recommending solutions that improve efficiency and outcomes for the already established customer base.

Success in this role requires a proactive, consultative approach and strong existing customer prospecting skills to identify and pursue growth opportunities within assigned accounts by expanding relationships, uncovering needs, and driving outcomes from an account management perspective.

This role requires travel on an as needed basis within the state of Michigan to support customer meetings, reviews, and key customer and industry events throughout the state.

What You'll Do

• Represent the company in customer meetings, business reviews, and select industry events to strengthen relationships and drive adoption
• Own customer communication cadence, ensuring timely follow-up on requests, action items, and opportunities across your assigned accounts
• Develop and execute account plans that support renewals, retention, and growth; maintain an active pipeline of expansion opportunities across your assigned book of business
• Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and maintain accurate renewal forecasting by tracking account health, risks, milestones, and next steps in partnership with internal teams
• Proactively prospect within existing accounts (e.g., whitespace mapping, stakeholder expansion, discovery conversations) to identify, qualify, and close up-sell/cross-sell opportunities aligned to customer needs and usage trends

We’re Excited to Learn More About You

• 5 years of successful B2B account management, customer success, or consultative sales experience required; must have demonstrated ability to prospect and drive expansion within an existing customer portfolio
• SaaS experience and/or technology solution experience preferred
• Experience managing renewals, retention, and expansion motions (including negotiation and forecasting) preferred
• Customer-first, highly organized, and able to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and stakeholders with strong follow-through
• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required
• Ability to work 100% remotely from a home office and reside within the state of Michigan
• Travel up to 40% within assigned territory (primarily day trips)
• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing, or equivalent work experience
