Mainframe Developer Only on W2

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support mission-critical enterprise applications running on IBM mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, and will work closely with business analysts and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications

• Write and modify COBOL / COBOL-II programs

• Develop and maintain JCL for batch processing

• Work with DB2 for data access, performance tuning, and SQL optimization

• Support and develop CICS online transactions

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

• Participate in application modernization and migration initiatives

• Maintain technical documentation and follow coding standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, BA, DevOps, Operations)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on experience as a Mainframe Developer

• Strong expertise in:

  • COBOL / COBOL-II

  • JCL

  • DB2

  • CICS

• Experience with batch and online processing

• Strong knowledge of mainframe utilities (SORT, IDCAMS, FTP, File-Aid)

• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Salary : $35 - $40
