Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a part-time Non-profit Finance Manager to join our dedicated team. The Non-profit Finance Manager will play a critical role in our organization, providing strategic financial guidance and leadership. This position requires a compassionate individual who understands the nuances of nonprofit finance in Massachusetts and possesses a genuine empathy towards individuals in recovery and grant management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee financial strategies that align with the organization's objectives and mission.
- Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, presenting findings and recommendations to the board of directors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that the organization's financial practices contribute to its overall mission and effectiveness.
- Provide financial oversight for fundraising activities, grant management, and allocation of funds to various programs and services.
- Cultivate a culture of transparency and accountability in financial reporting and management within the organization.
- Serve as a financial advisor to the management team, providing insights and guidance on financial decisions and implications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a or in a similar financial leadership role, preferably within a nonprofit setting.
- In-depth knowledge of nonprofit accounting and finance principles, with specific expertise in Massachusetts' financial regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values and mission of the Bridge Club of Greater Lowell, with a deep understanding of and empathy for individuals in recovery.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
