Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Oversee bridge projects from planning to closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to ensure project accuracy
- Manage and coordinate site activities including civil work, foundations, and structural assembly
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project milestones
- Lead and supervise field crews and subcontractors, ensuring safety and productivity
- Serve as a mentor and trainer for junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (engineering, fabrication, shipping, quality control) and external partners (vendors, contractors, and clients)
- Handle on-site challenges and scope changes with professionalism and clarity
- Track project progress against budgets, schedules, and key milestones
- Maintain accurate records including RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily logs, and photo documentation
- Provide regular updates to leadership and clients regarding progress, issues, and deliverables
- Support project closeout, including punch lists, as-built documentation, and client handoff
- 5 years of project management experience in civil or structural construction (bridge experience a plus)
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to handle direct conversations professionally
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and multi-phase project schedules
- Familiarity with construction project management tools (Procore or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
- OSHA certification preferred; valid driver’s license required
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time (occasional weekends as needed)
- Employment Type: Exempt, Salaried
- Location: Pickens, SC with travel to job sites
- Compensation: Competitive and open, based on experience
