**Job Overview**
We are seeking a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team, working 2-3 days a week. Our dental hygienists perform preventative procedures and educate patients on oral hygiene, working closely with our dentists to provide the best possible care.
In this role, you will have control over your schedule, partnering with our front office staff to optimize appointment scheduling and build a robust recall program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily schedules with staff for hygiene patients
- Schedule patients efficiently with front office staff
- Accurately chart patient periodontal health and communicate professionally with patients
- Perform thorough prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing as needed
- Administer local anesthetics (if permitted by dental practice act)
- Evaluate patient comfort and relieve anxiety during treatment
- Audit and record provided treatment accurately
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and counsel on nutrition's impact on oral health
- Update patient health and dental history forms as necessary
- Securely handle patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice in state and meet applicable state requirements
- Minimum two years associate's degree from a university-based dental hygiene program or baccalaureate
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental environment; DSO/Group Practice experience preferred
