About the Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team, working 2-3 days a week. Our team of hygienists perform preventative dental procedures and educate patients on oral hygiene.

Responsibilities
- Review daily schedules with staff for hygiene patients
- Work with front office staff to schedule hygiene patients efficiently
- Accurately chart each patient's periodontal health
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients
- Perform thorough prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing as needed
- Administer local anesthetics (if allowed by dental practice act)
- Apply cavity-preventive agents and medicaments subgingivally
- Evaluate patient comfort and anxiety levels during treatment
- Accurately record provided treatment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Counsel patients on oral health and nutrition
- Update patient health and dental history forms as necessary
- Perform other tasks assigned by the dentist
- Handle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist in the administration of the recall system
- Participate actively in team meetings
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice in state and meet applicable state requirements
- Minimum two years associate's degree from a university-based dental hygiene program or baccalaureate
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental environment; DSO/Group Practice experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient and staff relationships
- Strong verbal skills for professional communication
- Proficient multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to travel between locations preferred
