Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, filters, and related equipment using hand tools and pressure washing equipment
- Safely operate ladders and to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to all safety protocols
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, goggles, and to ensure safety during all cleaning tasks
- Conduct manual handling of heavy equipment and materials, including lifting and moving bulky filters or duct components
- Apply industrial cleaning techniques to remove grease buildup, debris, and other contaminants from ventilation systems
- Utilize specialized cleaning equipment like rotary brushes, scrapers, and pressure washers for efficient results
- Follow strict safety procedures during outdoor work environments and when handling hazardous substances or electrical components
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders with proper use of fall protection gear
- Knowledge of duct cleaning processes, pressure washing techniques, and fire safety protocols is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with precision
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about job progress and safety measures
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions is advantageous
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, cleaning equipment, and safety gear necessary for industrial cleaning roles
