About the Role:

The Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our food service establishment, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests. This position is responsible for efficiently cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support smooth kitchen operations and timely food service delivery. The Dishwasher must adhere to strict sanitation protocols and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and maintain compliance with health regulations. This role requires physical stamina to handle repetitive motions, lifting heavy items, and standing for extended periods, all while maintaining a positive and flexible attitude. Ultimately, the Dishwasher contributes to the overall guest experience by supporting a clean and organized kitchen environment that enables the culinary team to perform at their best.  This role will also be our Delivery Drivers for food orders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read and follow basic instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical capability to lift and carry heavy items repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation and food safety practices.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Driver's Licenses and a safe driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Understanding of workplace safety standards and safe driving record if transportation duties are involved.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment and manual cleaning methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and work surfaces, to comply with health and safety standards.
• Assist kitchen staff by promptly removing dirty dishes and delivering clean items to designated areas to ensure continuous food service flow.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment, including proper lifting techniques and use of protective equipment.
• Adhere to the established schedule and instructions from supervisors, demonstrating flexibility to accommodate varying shift demands and peak service times.
• Delivery food orders.

The required skills such as service delivery and sanitization are essential for ensuring that all dishware and kitchen tools meet health and safety standards, directly impacting guest satisfaction. Maintaining a safe driving record, while not always applicable, reflects a candidate’s overall responsibility and adherence to safety protocols, which is valuable in any operational context.
