Duties
- Safely handle and transport food from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service
- Assist with food running duties, including delivering dishes promptly and accurately to guests’ tables
- Buss tables by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils, while maintaining a clean dining environment
- Support in food preparation tasks as needed, including basic plating or setup under supervision
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards through regular cleaning and sanitation of service areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Food Runner position requires candidate to be fluent in English.
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and proper manual handling practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including lifting trays or boxes of supplies using safe lifting techniques
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders or payments
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, guest-focused attitude
- Familiarity with food running, serving, bussing, or banquet experience is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
