Compensation: Approximately $20 per hour for qualified peer support providers; $25 per hour or more may be available for licensed social workers or bachelor’s degree holders. Training is paid at a separate, lower rate disclosed before training begins.

Job Overview

Brickstone Solutions LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to provide mental health support in clients’ homes and community settings.

We welcome eligible applicants new to paid peer support work, certified peer specialists, qualified Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) providers, and licensed social workers. Applicants will be considered for responsibilities that match their verified qualifications, credentials, training, and experience.

Our company is expanding beyond Wichita to reach smaller Kansas communities where mental health resources may be limited. We are committed to helping clients navigate resources, develop practical skills, increase independence, and make progress toward their recovery goals.

Services are guided by each client’s individualized treatment plan. This opportunity requires reliable transportation, professional communication, accurate documentation, and consistent follow-through.

Compensation and Contractor Status

This is an independent contractor opportunity with Brickstone Solutions LLC.

  • Qualified peer support providers can expect compensation of approximately $20 per hour.
  • Licensed social workers and applicants with a bachelor’s degree may qualify for $25 per hour or more, depending on verified qualifications, experience, approved responsibilities, and the written contract.
  • Training is paid at a separate, lower hourly rate, disclosed before training begins.
  • The written contractor agreement will explain payment terms for client services, training, documentation, travel, and any applicable reimbursement.
  • Contractors are responsible for applicable taxes associated with contractor income.
  • Available assignments and hours depend on client needs, location, provider qualifications, and service availability.

Duties and Job ExpectationsHome and Community Visits

  • Meet with clients in their homes and appropriate community locations within the agreed service area.
  • Arrive prepared and on time for accepted appointments.
  • Communicate promptly about scheduling changes, delays, cancellations, or barriers to completing visits.
  • Maintain a respectful, supportive approach when working with clients and their families.

Treatment-Plan-Based Support

  • Understand and follow each client’s established treatment-plan goals and authorized interventions.
  • Help clients identify practical steps toward their mental health and recovery goals.
  • Support coping skills, problem-solving, communication, self-advocacy, and strategies for managing mental health-related barriers.
  • Help clients practice appropriate daily living and community participation skills when included in the treatment plan and authorized service.
  • Assist clients in identifying and navigating relevant community resources.
  • Encourage independence, client choice, and recognition of personal strengths.
  • Communicate client progress, concerns, and obstacles to the appropriate supervisor or treatment team.

Peer Support

Providers approved for peer support will use their lived recovery experience appropriately to offer encouragement, model recovery strategies, and help clients build hope and confidence.

Peer support must remain within the provider’s certification, service requirements, and professional boundaries.

CPST and Social Work Responsibilities

Providers approved for CPST will deliver goal-directed support connected to the treatment plan, helping clients address how mental health symptoms affect their functioning and apply strategies in everyday settings.

Licensed social workers will perform only those responsibilities permitted by their Kansas license, qualifications, required supervision, and approved service assignment.

Documentation, Confidentiality, and Safety

  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the company’s approved electronic system.
  • Record actual service dates, locations, start and end times, interventions, client responses, progress, and follow-up needs.
  • Connect documentation to the treatment-plan goal addressed.
  • Report only services actually delivered and time actually worked.
  • Maintain accurate service-time and applicable travel records.
  • Protect confidential client information and follow applicable privacy requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Promptly report safety concerns, suspected abuse or neglect, and other reportable incidents.
  • Follow company emergency procedures and seek supervisory or emergency assistance when appropriate.
  • Participate in required supervision, training, and documentation reviews.

  • Strong communication, active listening, and basic written documentation skills.
  • Access to the technology and internet needed for online training and electronic documentation.
  • Willingness to complete required background screening, onboarding, training, and credential verification.

Peer Support Qualifications — Entry-Level Applicants Welcome

Previous paid peer support experience is not required for eligible trainee applicants.

Applicants for mental health peer support must meet Kansas eligibility requirements, including personal lived experience with mental health challenges and at least one year of stable, sustained recovery.

Applicants must hold a current Kansas Certified Peer Specialist credential or qualify for and obtain Kansas Certified Peer Specialist in Training approval before providing billable peer support.

All applicable training, certification, and supervision requirements must be met. A college degree or social work license does not replace the required peer specialist credential for peer support assignments.

CPST Qualifications

Brickstone Solutions requires at least four years of relevant human-services or behavioral-health experience for CPST assignments. This is a company hiring standard.

Applicants must also meet the education, training, supervision, and other qualifications applicable to the assigned CPST service. Experience must be documented and will be reviewed before approval for CPST work.

Licensed Social Worker Qualifications

Applicants applying as social workers must hold a current, appropriate Kansas social work license in good standing.

Responsibilities and compensation will depend on verified credentials, experience, approved services, and applicable supervision requirements.

Mandatory Training Before Field Placement

Required training is a condition of receiving field assignments.

Depending on the role, providers must:

  • Complete assigned online peer support training and videos.
  • Complete the applicable Kansas peer specialist certification process.
  • Complete assigned TRAIN.org / Kansas TRAIN courses.
  • Complete required CPST, core, and population-specific training, as applicable.
  • Complete company training on documentation, confidentiality, treatment-plan implementation, professional boundaries, safety, and reporting responsibilities.
  • Submit certificates and completion records for the provider’s file.
  • Maintain required credentials and complete applicable ongoing training.

Completing online videos alone does not authorize a provider to deliver or bill Medicaid services. Required credentials and service-specific qualifications must also be verified.

Background Checks and Required Records

Field placement is contingent on satisfactory completion and review of screening required for the role under applicable Kansas, KDADS, Medicaid, and payer requirements.

Screening may include criminal history, applicable abuse and neglect registries, professional credential verification, and exclusion checks.

Providers must supply current copies of their driver’s license, automobile insurance, applicable credentials, training certificates, and education or experience records. Required records will be maintained in the provider’s file.

Providers must promptly report changes affecting their eligibility to drive, maintain insurance, hold credentials, or deliver services.

Professional Conduct and Readiness

We seek individuals who are friendly, patient, respectful, and ready to work with clients in a calm and constructive manner.

Providers are expected to:

  • Honor accepted appointments and follow through on commitments.
  • Treat clients and colleagues with dignity.
  • Communicate professionally and resolve disagreements respectfully.
  • Accept feedback and ask for guidance when needed.
  • Respect different backgrounds, cultures, and recovery experiences.
  • Remain accountable for documentation, training, and client care.

Gossip, harassment, intimidation, retaliation, and disruptive conduct are inconsistent with our standards. Good-faith concerns, safety reports, and compliance questions are welcome.

Service Areas and Travel

We are recruiting providers in Wichita, Wellington, Newton, Augusta, Clearwater, and surrounding Kansas communities.

Applicants should identify their home location, preferred service area, and reasonable travel range. Client transportation, if assigned, requires separate authorization and appropriate insurance coverage.

How to Apply

Apply through this posting with your résumé or a summary of your experience. Include your education, certifications or licenses, city, availability, and preferred service area.

Entry-level peer support applicants are encouraged to describe relevant caregiving, volunteer, community, or other helping experience.
