Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards.
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness throughout your shift.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations.
• Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Support openTable reservations management to optimize seating arrangements during busy hours.
• Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
• Demonstrated culinary experience or understanding of food preparation enhances service quality.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
• Proven ability in sales techniques including upselling to increase revenue while providing genuine guest service.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices.
• Experience with bussing, host/hostess duties, or cashiering is advantageous.
