Position Overview
Our Lead Line Cook at Brickshire Golf Club & Grille serves as a key leader within our culinary team, supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality food production, consistency in presentation, and smooth service during daily operations, banquets, and special events.
The ideal candidate combines strong culinary technique with calm, confident leadership. They will assist in menu development, oversee prep and line execution, help manage inventory and food costs, and foster a positive, professional kitchen culture. As Brickshire continues to grow its dining program, the Lead Line Cook plays an essential part in shaping guest experience and elevating our culinary identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- Lead line cooks and prep staff with clear direction, coaching, and support
- Execute menu items with consistent quality, presentation, and timing
- Assist with menu development, specials, banquets, and club events
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control strategies
- Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards are followed
- Maintain a clean, organized, high-efficiency kitchen environment
- Help cultivate a positive, professional culture rooted in teamwork and respect
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of kitchen leadership experience (Strong Lead Line Cook ready for next step)
- Strong culinary fundamentals, creativity, and attention to detail
- Experience with banquets, high-volume service, or club/hotel environments preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable dining experiences
