Overview
Authorized LEGO retailer that handles buy, sell, & trade of LEGO products as well as 3rd party products.
We are seeking a friendly, motivated Assistant Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a passion for LEGO, and the ability to create a welcoming shopping environment. This role involves engaging with customers, training staff, demonstrating products, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained. The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales through upselling and merchandising while providing exceptional service to our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties
- Educate customers about features and benefits of merchandise
- Upsell products and suggest complementary items to increase sales opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking activities
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and organizing the sales floor
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Support supervising staff in training new team members and maintaining store standards
- Ensure the sales area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards at all times
- Work closely with management to create activities and events for the store
Experience
- Prior experience in retail management is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to perform product demos and upselling techniques effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly phone etiquette
- Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team
- Previous experience in merchandising, stocking, or cashiering roles will support success in this position
