Overview
We’re hiring a hands-on Corporate General Manager to lead our Monroe, WA location. This role is ideal for a strong retail leader who enjoys being on the sales floor, developing teams, and driving measurable business results.
As the GM, you will own the store’s overall performance — from daily operations and financial results to team development and customer experience. You’ll have the support of corporate leadership while maintaining real ownership at the store level.
Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store operations and maintain brand standards
- Execute promotions, merchandising plans, and corporate initiatives
- Manage inventory, pricing, and product flow
- Ensure POS accuracy and operational compliance
Financial Performance
- Own and manage store P&L
- Drive sales growth and protect margins
- Manage payroll to target while maintaining service standards
- Monitor KPIs and implement improvements
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback
- Create effective schedules based on business needs
- Build a positive, accountable team culture
Customer Experience
- Lead by example on the sales floor
- Resolve escalated customer concerns
- Support community engagement and in-store events
- Maintain strong product knowledge across the team
Corporate Alignment
- Follow company policies and safety standards
- Maintain clear communication with corporate leadership
- Execute new initiatives and provide field feedback
Qualifications
Required
- 2 years of retail or specialty retail management experience
- Experience managing or influencing store P&L
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred
- Experience in toys, collectibles, hobby, or specialty retail
- Event-driven retail experience
- Multi-unit or high-volume store experience
- Experience with secondary market inventory
