Sr. Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks, Python, Salesforce Automation, ETL, SQL, and Azure Data Factory to design, build, and operate production-grade data pipelines and lakehouse data products.

The role supports data products across device supply chain, reverse logistics, procurement, network supply chain, and real-time control tower capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong enterprise data engineering experience and hands-on expertise building scalable pipelines using medallion architecture, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, and Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade data pipelines covering source ingestion, bronze landing, silver transformation, and gold-layer data product delivery.
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Python.
• Apply medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) consistently across data product development.
• Follow Fabric IQ certification standards across applicable data product builds.
• Collaborate with System Analysts to implement field-level transformations, business rules, and data quality checks.
• Build and operate data pipelines supporting device supply chain, reverse logistics, procurement, network supply chain, and real-time control tower capabilities.
• Work with Salesforce automation and data integration requirements.
• Perform data wrangling and transformation activities to create reliable and usable datasets.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and product teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Support ML Engineers and Data Scientists with relevant datasets and data engineering activities.
• Conduct data and ML-related experiments where required to support business problems and product objectives.
• Fine-tune solutions and identify opportunities to improve performance and data quality.
• Test solutions against defined business acceptance criteria.
• Document relevant technical artifacts and communicate results with business stakeholders.
• Support deployment and integration of data-driven solutions into production environments.
• Participate in product release planning and execution.
• Establish goals and success criteria while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Data Engineering experience with a strong track record delivering production data pipelines in large enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Data Engineering, Databricks, ETL, SQL, and Python.
• 7 years of experience with Azure Data Factory and Salesforce.
• 7 years of experience with ETL and SQL.
• 5 years of IT experience with Python.
• Strong experience with Databricks for data engineering and pipeline development.
• Experience with pipeline orchestration using Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, or Apache Airflow.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation, transformation logic, and source-system analysis.
• Experience designing and implementing production-grade data pipelines.
• Experience working with lakehouse and medallion architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Strong understanding of data quality, transformation, and enterprise data engineering practices.
• Strong collaboration skills with business, technology, product, and system-analysis teams.
• Ability to work independently in a large enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Fabric IQ, and OneLake.
• Experience with Databricks Workflows or Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Salesforce data integration and automation.
• Experience supporting ML models and data science initiatives.
• Experience with data products supporting supply chain, logistics, procurement, or real-time operational capabilities.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and governance standards.
• Strong understanding of modern lakehouse architecture and enterprise data platforms.
• Experience working in Agile product development environments.
