Our rapidly growing law firm is dedicated to fighting for justice on behalf of individuals and families impacted by negligence, abuse, and wrongful conduct. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Plaintiff Appellate Attorney to join our team in either our Miami or Fort Lauderdale office.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of appellate cases, including brief writing, oral arguments, and motions practice.
- Meet with trial attorneys to review and refine drafts of substantive legal motions and responses, such as summary judgment and post-judgment matters.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
- Collaborate closely with trial attorneys to develop and execute litigation and appellate strategies.
- Draft clear, persuasive, and well-reasoned legal briefs, memoranda, and motions.
- Present oral arguments before state and federal appellate courts.
- Stay current on developments in appellate law and relevant case precedents.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of appellate litigation experience, preferably representing plaintiffs.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Strong oral advocacy skills with prior appellate argument experience.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to ethical practice and passionate client advocacy.
