Loan Operations Specialist: Responsible for supporting the administration and servicing of commercial and other loan products throughout the loan lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on banking experience in loan operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to ensure loan transactions and servicing activities are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and maintain loan documentation and servicing activities in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
- Support the administration and servicing of loans from closing through payoff.
- Review loan records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Administer and monitor escrow accounts, including related transactions and documentation.
- Coordinate with lenders, relationship managers, borrowers, and internal departments regarding loan servicing matters.
- Assist with loan transactions, modifications, payments, renewals, and payoffs.
- Ensure loan information is accurately maintained within the bank’s core banking system.
- Identify discrepancies and work with appropriate departments to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits, examinations, and reporting requirements as needed.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable banking laws, regulations, and internal controls.
- Manage multiple assignments while meeting established deadlines and service standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–4 years of banking experience in loan operations or loan servicing.
- Experience with escrow servicing is highly desirable.
- Exposure to trade finance operations is a plus.
- Working knowledge of loan processing procedures, documentation, and servicing practices.
- Understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and applicable legal guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience working with core banking or loan servicing systems.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Banking, or a related field preferred.
