Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work, including concrete forming, rebar installation, and finishing techniques. This role involves working on various construction projects such as residential, commercial, and restoration sites, requiring proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint reading. The Brick Mason will play a vital part in building durable structures and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship throughout each project.
Duties
- Construct and repair walls, partitions, facades, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and stone materials
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and plastering to achieve desired textures and durability
- Install rebar reinforcement according to schematics and blueprints for structural integrity
- Execute masonry tasks including tile laying, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to assist with large-scale projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise execution of work
- Assist with renovation projects involving framing, metal stud framing, roofing, and restoration work
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and welding to complete complex builds
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in masonry or related construction fields with a focus on concrete forming, concrete finishing, or stucco application
- Familiarity with construction estimating and blueprint reading is preferred
- Hands-on experience operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding on construction sites
- Knowledge of schematics, heavy equipment operation, roofing techniques, plastering, caulking, tile laying, metal stud framing, welding, and restoration projects is highly desirable
- Prior work on diverse construction sites demonstrating adaptability across renovation projects or new builds is advantageous
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret schematics for precise execution of masonry tasks
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Having your own tools is preferred
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs to hip height
