Job Summary
Brick Mill Furniture is seeking two part-time Production Support Associates to assist with moving finished product from our Finish Department to the Shipping area during evening hours. This role is ideal for college students looking for consistent, part-time work with a set schedule.
The Finish Department operates until 2:30 PM. By 4:00 PM, products are typically dry and ready to be handled. This position ensures product continues to move through the production process after the finish team leaves for the day.
Responsibilities
- Move dried, finished furniture and components from the Finish Department to the Shipping area
- Flip or reposition product that is not fully dry to ensure proper curing
- Stage new product in the Finish Department to be sprayed the following day
- Perform light scuff sanding on products when needed, following provided instructions
- Handle products carefully to prevent damage to finished surfaces
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in finish and staging zones
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support production and shipping needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move items up to approximately 100 lbs with assistance when needed
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting during shift
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Qualifications
- Must be dependable and able to work scheduled evening shifts consistently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and care when handling finished products
- No prior manufacturing experience required — training provided
