Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Idaho Falls, ID for a Substance Use Disorder Counselor. The counselor will provide individual and group therapy sessions, create personalized treatment plans, and monitor individuals’ progress throughout their recovery journey. Additional responsibilities include maintaining case documentation, working collaboratively with other professionals, and providing education and resources to promote sustainable recovery. The role requires a compassionate, patient-centered approach aligned with the company’s mission to support individuals in overcoming Substance Use Disorder challenges.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in conducting individual and group counseling sessions and developing personalized treatment plans
- Knowledge of Substance Use Disorder and co-occurring Mental Health Issues, including evidence-based therapeutic practices
- Strong documentation, record-keeping, and case management abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and active listening skills
- State licensure or certification for Substance Use Disorder counseling or a related field
- Preferred qualifications include experience in a faith-based treatment setting and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
