Brick Executive Search's Consumer Products division has partnered with a dairy manufacturer in search of a Director of HR. This position is based in Twin Falls, Idaho - candidates applying must be open to relocate.
The HR Director partners with leadership to align people strategy with business goals across the organization. This role leads HR policy and compliance, talent acquisition, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR recordkeeping, and ensures consistent, lawful application of policies while modeling company values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a key position within our company that:
- Lead HR strategy, programs, and department operations; set goals, KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies and procedures; ensure consistent application of the Employee Handbook.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations; maintain required documentation and records; partner with legal and government agencies as needed.
- Oversee recruiting, selection, onboarding, and internal mobility for exempt and nonexempt roles, temporary employees, and students.
- Lead performance management and compensation processes (appraisals, salary analysis, job descriptions, surveys).
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, vendor coordination, claims issue resolution, and annual plan review.
- Manage employee relations, coaching, and investigations; support leaders on discipline and terminations.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational training and executive coaching needs.
- Lead and develop the HR team (2 Sr. HR Generalists and a recruiter); maintain HR reporting, org charts, and employee directory.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 15 years of progressive HR experience.
- PHR or SPHR preferred.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting multiple sites preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
- ADP knowledge preferred.
- Strong conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build trust, influence, and deliver results.
- Strategic, self-directed, and proactive; anticipates needs and recommends solutions.
- Working knowledge of core HR disciplines (compensation, organizational development/diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal/state employment laws).
