What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Brick City Drugs?
Primary responsibilities include:
· Help health care providers and patients by greeting them by name in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
· Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
· Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and protocols.
· Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
· Organize medications for the pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
· Maintain records by recording and filling physicians’ orders and prescriptions.
· Generate revenue by calculating, recording and issuing charges.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by the pharmacist.

Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
