Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong understanding of ranch operations. This role involves various responsibilities related to the maintenance of ranch facilities, care for livestock, and the operation of farm machinery. A successful Ranch Hand will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of animal husbandry.
Please be able to handle horses as well as drive a truck and trailer. Will need to be able to transport horses for events.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health conditions.
- Supervise and assist with the handling and movement of livestock.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of barns, pens, and other animal housing areas.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various ranch tasks.
- Assist in greenhouse operations as needed, including planting, watering, and harvesting crops.
- Conduct routine maintenance on farm machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize forklifts for transporting feed, supplies, or equipment around the ranch.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient ranch operations.
Requirements
- Experience in animal care or husbandry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Familiarity with farm machinery operation is essential.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Previous experience supervising others is a plus.
- Must be physically fit to perform manual labor tasks throughout the day.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation purposes.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
