What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Planner position at Briaud Financial Advisors?
Senior Financial Planner
Overview We are a private wealth management firm seeking a confident, action-oriented Senior Financial Planner who blends expertise with empathy and leads with a strong sense of purpose. You will play a critical role in helping clients shape their financial futures while mentoring team members and driving planning initiatives forward. This is an ideal role for someone energized by relationships, energized by momentum, and grounded in trust.
In this role, you will:
- Lead Financial Planning Conversations: Drive in-depth client meetings to uncover needs, identify opportunities, and present plans that instill confidence. Use your clarity and presence to guide clients through both the numbers and the emotions.
- Build and Deepen Client Relationships: Cultivate trust over time with consistent, proactive contact and empathetic listening. You understand that people need to feel heard before they act.
- Design and Present Advanced Plans: Create and explain sophisticated retirement, tax, risk, and estate strategies—then confidently walk clients through how these strategies fit into their lives.
- Implement and Adjust Plans with Purpose: Ensure plans are executed effectively and improved over time. You don’t just design—you deliver.
- Mentor and Develop Others: Provide leadership and support to junior team members. You enjoy helping others grow and you lead by example.
- Bring Energy to the Team: Engage positively in meetings, share ideas, challenge thoughtfully, and help drive firm initiatives forward.
We want to talk to you if:
- You Lead with Confidence: You take ownership of meetings, decisions, and client outcomes. You speak with conviction and take initiative naturally.
- You Thrive in Relationship-Driven Environments: You connect easily with others, care deeply about your clients, and know how to build long-term trust.
- You Combine Expertise with Action: You love financial planning, and you don’t sit on ideas. You take your knowledge and apply it decisively to help clients make progress.
- You Communicate with Clarity and Strength: Whether one-on-one or in a group, you explain things simply and persuasively. You don’t hide behind jargon.
- You Grow and Help Others Grow: You take feedback well, push yourself to improve, and want to help others do the same. You believe progress matters more than perfection.
