Job Summary
Dual-Site Center Director
This is a Director position, combining the operational leadership of one center with the managerial oversight and mentorship of the second center's Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Center Director (90% Focus): Full operational and administrative responsibility for Center Location A, ensuring compliance with Bright from the Start (DECAL) and Quality Rated rules and regulations, managing enrolment, staff scheduling, curriculum implementation, and facility management.
- Director Manager (10% Focus): Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and strategic support to the existing Center Director at Center Location B. Ensure consistent policy implementation, quality standards, and adherence to the overall vision across both sites.
Key Accountabilities:
- Staff Leadership & Development: Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate staff at Center A. Act as a resource and coach for the Director at Center B, helping them develop their own leadership skills.
- Financial & Operational Health: Manage the budget, control expenses, drive enrollment growth, and ensure positive parent satisfaction scores across both locations.
- Compliance & Quality: Maintain a thorough understanding of all state and local licensing requirements (Bright from the Start / DECAL) and ensure both facilities consistently meet or exceed those standards.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate positive relationships with all parents, acting as the primary point of contact for complex issues and promoting the centers within the local Atlanta community.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Management, or a related field.
- Background in early childhood education is highly desirable
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of documented experience as a Center Director in a licensed child care facility.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of care and education
- Experience working directly with children across various age groups and understanding their developmental needs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative management
- Licensing: Must meet all educational and experience requirements mandated by Bright from the Start (DECAL)for a Georgia Center Director.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage teams, mentor leaders, and make high-stakes operational decisions autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with staff, families, and community partners effectively
Preferred:
- Prior experience managing multiple sites or overseeing other management staff.
- Strong financial literacy and experience with budget development and management
