POSITION OVERVIEW
Brian Trading Company is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team in Sumter, SC.
This is a hands-on position involving receiving shipments, unloading and loading trucks and containers, packing and shipping orders, inventory counting, warehouse organization, forklift and pallet jack operation, and computer/data entry.
The right person will be dependable, punctual, physically capable, willing to learn, and able to pay close attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive incoming shipments
- Unload trucks and shipping containers
- Load trucks and prepare shipments
- Pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and ship outgoing orders
- Count and maintain accurate inventory
- Organize and maintain the warehouse
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack
- Perform computer and data-entry tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow company procedures and safety guidelines
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed

IMPORTANT PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
This position requires regular physical work, including unloading shipping containers and trucks.
Applicants must be comfortable working in both hot and cold conditions and performing physically demanding work in varying warehouse and outdoor temperatures.
FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE
Forklift experience is a plus, but is not required. Brian Trading Company is willing to train the right candidate.
Experience operating a pallet jack is also helpful.
REQUIRED
- Reliable transportation — this is a must
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to safely lift and handle up to 70 lbs.
- Basic Math. Example: Number of boxes 296, times case pack 6 = qty to ship. Please include the answer to this example in the subject line of your application email.
- Ability and willingness to work in hot and cold conditions
- Ability to perform physical warehouse work, including unloading containers
SCHEDULE
Monday–Friday | 7:55 AM–4:30 PM
Breaks:
- 10:00 AM — 15 minutes
- 2:00 PM — 15 minutes
Lunch:
- 12:00 PM–12:30 PM
No weekends or overtime.
PAY & BENEFITS
$17.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Full-time employees are eligible for Brian Trading Company's PTO program.
- After 90 days: 40 hours of PTO
- 1–4 years of service: 80 hours annually
- 5 years of service: 128 hours annually
