Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Boca Raton, FL. The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities. The role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns for individuals and businesses, and payroll-related filings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The Senior Accountant will review the work of junior staff, provide coaching and guidance, and help standardize accounting procedures. Responsibilities also include communicating with clients, responding to inquiries, supporting tax planning efforts, and collaborating with the firm’s leadership to improve processes and service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience in tax preparation and compliance for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
- Proficiency with bookkeeping and payroll processes, including related filings and reporting.
- Comfort with accounting and tax software, as well as Excel and other standard office applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Proven experience in a public accounting or similar professional services environment, ideally in a senior or lead accountant role.
- CPA license preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Boca Raton, FL, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines during peak periods.
