We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a urology specialty clinic. Prior experience in hospital medicine, urgent care or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable. The position involves supporting physicians and healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.
Duties:
· Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs
· Prepare examination rooms and assist during patient examinations and procedures
· Administer medications and injections following physician orders
· Support physicians with procedures such as Post Voiding Residuals (PVR), cystoscopes, biopsies, and vasectomies.
· Monitor patient physiology and respond to emergency situations
· Manage patient flow within our outpatient clinic, ensuring smooth operations
· Assist with laboratory tasks, including specimen collection and processing
Requirements:
· Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required
· Prior experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics preferred
· Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration
· Experience working within EHR systems and familiarity with medical administrative support functions
· Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, measurement, and basic life support
· Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery
· Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
