Scheduler Responsibilities:
- As a scheduler, you will be responsible for organizing and managing the nursing staff schedules for your facility.
- You will review, approve, and book shifts for in house nurses and nursing assistants.
- You will identify gaps in the upcoming schedule and work to fill those gaps.
- You will handle and process last minute shift requests, cancellations, and no-shows.
- You will maintain records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absences, excused and unexcused absences and assist in reinforcing facility policy regarding attendance.
Scheduler Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a staffing coordinator in a skilled nursing setting or a similar environment.
- CNA preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
- Clerical or administrative experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Efficient in managing people and resources.
- Knowledge of health care terminology preferred.
- Basic computer program knowledge
