We are seeking a skilled and passionate baker to join our culinary team and help create fresh, high-quality baked goods daily. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of baking techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering consistently delicious products. This role requires creativity, efficiency, and the ability to work early mornings or flexible hours in a fast-paced environment. Whether preparing breads, pastries, or specialty items, the Baker plays a key role in maintaining the quality and reputation of our bakery.
Essential Functions:
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods following established recipes and quality standards.
Measure and mix ingredients using proper techniques and equipment.
Operate baking machinery such as ovens, mixers, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently.
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with food safety regulations.
Adjust recipes and ingredients to accommodate special dietary needs or product shortages when necessary.
Assist with inventory control by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of low stock.
Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal items.
Ensure all baked goods are presented attractively and consistently to meet brand standards.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferred.
ServSafe Training preferred
Basic math and computer/tablet skills.
Ability to stay professional in a stressful work environment.
Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional manner.
Superb multitasking skills and an eye for detail.
Available to work different hours including weekends, days, nights, and holidays.
Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
Ability to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong task and time management abilities.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (eight or more hours). Able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight up to 50 lbs. Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to eight hours per day. Able to reach above head and shoulder levels. Able to twist, kneel, bend and crawl. Able to squat and crouch. Able to perform sweeping motion, front-to-back and side-to-side. Able to work in confined spaces. Able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals. Able to climb stairs and ladders.
Manual dexterity
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes meeting quality standards and company standard policies and procedures.
Able to listen and follow instructions, work unsupervised, and adapt to changing situations.
