Brewster-Pierce Memorial School is seeking a full-time, energetic, and caring School Guidance Counselor to support elementary-aged students’ social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
In this role, the Guidance Counselor will provide weekly classroom guidance lessons, respond to student behavioral and social-emotional needs, and collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student success. The counselor will also play a key role in coordinating and managing 504 and EST (Educational Support Team) plans, ensuring that supports are responsive and student-centered. This position works with a diverse group of learners and is an integral part of a creative, dedicated school team.
Qualified candidates will:
- Enjoy working with children and supporting their social-emotional growth
- Deliver engaging weekly guidance lessons to elementary students
- Respond effectively and compassionately to student behaviors and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students
- Manage and coordinate 504 and EST plans
- Communicate clearly and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
