What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Brewski'z recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with prep work including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, making sauces, and stocking stations.
- Set up and maintain an organized, clean, and fully stocked workstation throughout your shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Ensure every plate leaving the kitchen meets our presentation and quality expectations.
- Work efficiently during busy lunch, dinner, sporting events, and weekend rushes.
- Communicate effectively with cooks, servers, bartenders, and managers to ensure smooth service.
- Receive, rotate, and properly store food deliveries using FIFO practices.
- Wash dishes, clean equipment, and maintain a safe, organized kitchen.
- Assist with closing duties and daily cleaning responsibilities.
- Help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment where everyone contributes.
What We're Looking For
- Restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we're willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Weekend, evening, and holiday availability.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
- Illinois Food Handler Certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain after hire).
