Our client is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team in Kirkland, WA (hybrid).
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of tax operations, including the review and preparation of tax returns, providing strategic advice on complex tax issues, and managing a team of skilled tax professionals.
Responsibilities will include:
Review and prepare tax returns and provide guidance and technical advice on complex tax issues to high-net-worth individuals, families, and their businesses to help maximize tax efficiency.
Stay current on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax planning opportunities.
Lead and manage a team of staff tax professionals, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring high quality of work.
Conduct business development activities to attract new clients.
Support special projects, including tax research and analysis.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA designation
- 5 years of experience in tax accounting, particularly with high-net-worth individuals and their businesses
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
- Desire to grow professionally and attain Sr. Manager and Partner roles
- Proven leadership abilities, including team management, task delegation, and providing feedback and guidance
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to explain complex tax issues to clients and colleagues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
In terms of salary expectations, we assess each candidate individually based on their experience and qualifications and offer competitive compensation that reflects the value they bring to the team. Base salary typically starts between $150k and $175k, plus an annual bonus and a generous benefits package.
