Corporate Controller

TITLE IS FLEXIBLE WITH FAST TRACK GROWTH PATH TO HEAD OF FINANCE

In this role you'll lead the financial strategy, regulatory compliance, and operational finance functions for a U.S.-based financial services organization. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment, requiring both high-level oversight and active involvement in day-to-day financial operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory filings in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable SEC and FINRA requirements.
• Act as the Finance and Operations Principal (FINOP), ensuring compliance with capital and regulatory standards.
• Serve as the primary finance liaison between U.S. operations and international leadership, ensuring alignment on reporting, audits, and financial standards.
• Prepare financial statements, coordinate internal and external audits, and maintain strong communication with global stakeholders.
• Monitor and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly P&L reports to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Oversee financial administration for trading and capital markets activities, including risk controls and clearing partner reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain robust financial controls, cash management processes, and capital planning frameworks.
• Deliver forecasts, performance reports, and management information to executive leadership.
• Manage and implement system improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experienced finance professional with 6 years in the financial services industry.
• Strong background in audits and financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• CPA designation and Series 27 FINOP license (or ability to obtain).
• Deep understanding of broker-dealer accounting practices and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience working within audit or global banking environments and managing regulatory inquiries.
