$21.94 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. North Area/Port St. John Public Library. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings and weekends. Performs experienced paraprofessional library work supervising primarily in the Circulation section of a library. Supervises other paraprofessional employees and volunteers.
REQUIREMENTS:Two (2) years of college coursework in any field at an accredited college or university [30 semester (45 quarter) hours = one (1) year]; PLUS two (2) years of progressively responsible library experience. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have completed, or must complete within eighteen (18) months of employment, all of the classes for all three (3) phases of the Brevard County Employee Development Program and receive a passing score on all three (3) phase examinations. When usage statistics change, library employees may be assigned to another library. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
