Job Title: Youth Services Supervisor
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Youth Services Supervisor to join our team at the Beachside/Cocoa Beach Public Library. The successful candidate will oversee the Youth Services section, supervising a staff of professional, paraprofessional, and clerical employees and volunteers.
About the Role:
- Supervise a team of library staff and volunteers in the Youth Services section
- Provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and program delivery
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement youth services programs and initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements:
- Master's degree from a graduate library school program accredited by the American Library Association
- Public library experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 20 pounds
- Carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds
- Pull or push objects weighing 50 pounds or more
- Stand for 3-5 hours per day
- Walk for 3-5 hours per day
Working Conditions:
- Work indoors in a public library environment
- May be exposed to dusty conditions
- Will work alone on occasion
