$22.84 to $25.12 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced technical work using Geographic Information System (GIS) industry software to produce maps by analyzing and researching information.
REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years [60 semester or 90 quarter hours] of college-level credit with major coursework in Geography, Computer Science, Urban/Regional Planning, Engineering, or a closely related field PLUS two (2) years of experience in, Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience in AutoCAD Map/Civil 3D and data collection in field conditions are preferred. Experience in Esri's ArcGIS Pro and familiarity with mobile data collection tools such as Survey123, Field Maps, and Web Mapping Applications is preferred. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to develop dashboards, charts, and graphs is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
