Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lawn Care Worker to join our dynamic landscaping team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy lawns and landscapes through expert mowing, trimming, planting, and general landscape upkeep. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, plant identification, and equipment operation will ensure our clients’ outdoor spaces are vibrant, safe, and well-manicured. Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to promote healthy turf growth.
- Maintain landscapes by pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and performing plant care activities.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely and efficiently.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Identify various plants, weeds, pests, and diseases to implement appropriate landscape treatments or pest management strategies.
- Conduct landscape maintenance including hardscape installation such as patios or walkways and seasonal snow plowing when necessary.
- Assist with construction projects related to landscaping or garden installations while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or lawn care with strong mechanical knowledge of gardening tools and equipment.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently; experience with excavators or other construction machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with hand tools, landscaping equipment, and performing general maintenance tasks required for outdoor environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred; physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
