Role Description This full-time Mathematics Teacher role is an on-site position located in Brevard, NC. The Mathematics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging math instruction aligned with the school’s curriculum and the Core Knowledge Sequence for K–8 students as assigned. Daily responsibilities include designing lesson plans, teaching mathematics concepts, monitoring student progress, and providing timely feedback and support. The teacher will assess student learning through varied assessments, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and colleagues. Additional duties include collaborating on curriculum initiatives, participating in professional development, contributing to school events, and supporting a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, curiosity, and academic growth.
Qualifications
- Strong content knowledge and instructional skills in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned to standards and school goals.
- Qualified Teacher with appropriate state teaching license or eligibility to obtain licensure in North Carolina.
- Experience teaching in K–8 settings, with the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree in education or math is a plus.
