About the Role
Reporting directly to the Patient Care Unit Director, the Nurse Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department. You will guide and support clinical teams, foster a culture of excellence, enhance departmental efficiency, and ensure the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality care. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical nursing care, ensuring alignment with established standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
- Manage patient flow and transitions across the continuum, promoting optimal outcomes and patient experience.
- Recruit, retain, mentor, evaluate, and develop nursing staff to build a highly engaged, high-performing team.
- Oversee departmental operations and core processes, ensuring efficient use of resources and continuous workflow improvement.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the quality of care and services delivered within the Emergency Department.
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with fiscal and budget responsibilities, supporting effective financial management within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master’s in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Active RN license
- 3 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
