A highly reputable community hospital in central New Hampshire is seeking a compassionate and skilled Obstetrics Registered Nurse to join its dedicated Women’s Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to support patients throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum care within a collaborative and nurturing environment.
About the Role
As an OB RN, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, evidence-based care to expectant mothers and their newborns. You will provide emotional support, clinical expertise, and thorough patient education to families navigating the childbirth experience. Working closely with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal staff, and other healthcare team members, you will ensure optimal outcomes and a positive birth experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, including vital signs, fetal heart tones, labor progression, and postpartum recovery.
- Assist providers with labor management, deliveries, and emergent obstetric situations.
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate obstetric monitoring equipment.
- Support and educate patients and families, promoting a safe, respectful, and compassionate birthing experience.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly and effectively to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage, preeclampsia, or fetal distress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active RN license
- At least 1 year of Labor, Delivery, and Post-partum care experience required.
