Build the Next Generation of Medical OEM Partnerships

Fisher Search Group is partnering exclusively with an established global manufacturer and CDMO to identify an Account & Business Development Manager – Health to drive growth across the East Coast.

This is a technical OEM business development role—not a traditional medical-device territory position.

You will work with Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Quality and other product-development stakeholders to identify new applications, solve complex design challenges and convert opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.

The company combines advanced materials, adhesive technologies, precision converting and contract manufacturing capabilities, with growth initiatives across wearables, diagnostics and other emerging medical applications.

The role is heavily weighted toward new business creation, while maintaining and expanding a portfolio of existing strategic accounts.

What You'll Own

  • Develop new business across medical-device OEMs and emerging healthcare applications
  • Prospect for new customers, programs and product opportunities
  • Build relationships across Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Quality and executive leadership
  • Translate customer needs into technical and commercial opportunities
  • Manage long-cycle opportunities from discovery through qualification and commercialization
  • Expand existing strategic accounts and applications
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Marketing, R&D, Operations and global teams
  • Bring the Voice of the Customer into market and product-development strategy
  • Maintain disciplined CRM, pipeline and project tracking
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows and industry events

What Success Looks Like

Success means creating opportunity—not simply managing an inherited book of business.

You will be expected to:

  • Build a strong pipeline of new OEM opportunities
  • Convert development programs into commercial accounts
  • Meet or exceed revenue and growth objectives
  • Expand applications within existing customers
  • Build credibility with technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Manage multiple complex opportunities at different stages of development

What We're Looking For

The strongest candidates will have experience selling technical products, components or outsourced manufacturing capabilities into medical-device OEMs.

Strongly Preferred

  • CDMO, contract manufacturing, medical components, precision converting, medical adhesives/tapes or adjacent engineered-material experience
  • Proven success developing new OEM business
  • Experience navigating complex, long sales and product-development cycles
  • Ability to engage Engineering, R&D, Quality, Procurement and Sourcing
  • Medical-device or healthcare OEM experience
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Consultative, customer-centric selling style

An engineering or other technical background is attractive, but proven commercial success in a technical OEM/CDMO environment can be equally compelling.

The Profile

You are likely someone who:

  • Enjoys hunting and creating markets
  • Is comfortable originating relationships remotely before moving face-to-face
  • Has the patience and discipline for long development cycles
  • Can move comfortably between engineers, procurement leaders and executives
  • Manages multiple complex projects without losing momentum
  • Operates independently and collaborates effectively across functions

Location & Travel

This is a home-based East Coast position.

Candidates should live on the East Coast with convenient access to a major commercial airport and be comfortable traveling for customer meetings, company meetings, manufacturing-site visits, conferences and other business needs.

Domestic travel is required, with occasional international travel possible.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $140,000–$165,000
  • Target incentive: 20% of base salary
  • Monthly incentive payments
  • Vehicle allowance: $500/month
  • Phone allowance: $100/month

Benefits

  • Health, dental and vision
  • Short- and long-term disability
  • AD&D and life insurance
  • Company-provided $20,000 life insurance policy
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 12 paid holidays
  • 120 hours of Personal Time Off annually

Benefits eligibility begins following the company's applicable waiting periods.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to join a global organization with deep technical capabilities as it shifts its U.S. commercial model toward more proactive business development.

The company is investing in differentiated technologies across medical wearables, diagnostics and advanced healthcare applications, giving this person the opportunity to help shape where future growth comes from.

For someone who enjoys the intersection of technology, manufacturing and commercial strategy, this is a chance to build—not simply inherit.
